I literally can’t believe I’m writing an entire article about the best golf umbrella. Here goes nothing.
Umbrellas fit into a unique category of things that I don’t really like comparing. Putters and golf towels are the same way. A putter is a putter. A towel is a towel. An umbrella is an umbrella. You get the point.
However, there are a couple of things that you should be looking for in a golf umbrella. Size, durability, reviews, price, and features (yes, I said features).
Let’s just jump right in. I know for a fact that you do not want to read a longer intro about…. the best golf umbrella of 2021.
Best Overall: G4Free Golf Umbrella
G4Free is a great value brand for golf accessories, especially when it comes to umbrellas. Their line of umbrellas is the most popular on all of Amazon, which says a lot. Tons of great (real) reviews, and very few unhappy buyers.
Sure, you can spend 2x or 3x as much for a name brand like Titliest, Callaway, or Under Armour. But those higher priced ones actually have more bad reviews that complain about a lack of durability in a moderate rain and wind.
The G4Free Golf Umbrellas are super easy to open and close, which is important to golfers. They come in lots of different sizes, too. I’ve always liked 68 inch umbrellas, which can easily fit two people and their golf bags without a problem. Trust me: it’s worth getting the larger sizes to be able to cover people that forgot their umbrella. Plus, it’s very important that your clubs stay dry, so the larger the better in that case!
Best for Use With a Push Cart: Depends
Push carts are great for the game. Less stress on your body, but still give you lots of exercise by walking the course. The problem when it rains is that the push cart takes one hand to push (unless you have a motorized one), and your umbrella takes another hand. That leaves no extra hands. Thankfully, they have special umbrellas has come with clamps at the bottom to clamp to your push cart. Or, you can buy a clamp that allows you to use ANY umbrella hands-free.
